Counselling & Psychotherapy

People engage in talk therapy for a number or reasons, Anxiety, Depression, Identity, self-esteem and self-confidence, life changes, relationship issues, family estrangement, infertility, pre and post baby and hormone mood disorders.

I have been working Therapeutically for over 11 years, with experience, Mentoring for a charity at The Door Youth Project and Essential Space CIC. I have been working in private practice in counselling since 2025. I am passionate about supporting individuals with their mental health and well-being.

Everything we discuss will remain strictly confidential, allowing you to feel safe and comfortable sharing what’s on your mind.

My therapeutic approach is flexible and shaped around you — your needs, goals, hopes, and expectations, whatever they may be.

I use predominantly person-centred and psychodynamic approach to therapy, with added elements of CBT. I offer a variety of creative tools can be used at appropriate times within the work, some examples are: emotion cards, parts therapy (Russian dolls), letter writing, empty chair, metaphors, time line therapy, reframe visualisation (SBT) and mindfulness.

I really hope to break the stigma of therapy being something to be ashamed of. Therapy is the ultimate self care and supports your self-development whether the problem your experiencing is big or small. You don’t need to be at rock bottom to seek out therapy and you don’t need therapy forever.

I am honest and genuine within my approach, I believe the connection can only come from your vulnerable and true state. You also know yourself better than anyone, it’s perhaps understanding and being able to verbalise, understand yourself and behaviours to that unlock change and a more fulfilled life.

A client said ‘Charlotte is very understanding. I was very dismissive of therapy. Since coming to Charlotte she has really shown me how talking to someone can really help your mental health. She’s really helped me regulate my own emotions, my worries and anxieties. Charlotte has really helped me emotionally with my endometriosis diagnosis and how that’s impacted me mentally. couldn’t recommend her enough!’

Is virtual online counselling for me?

Choosing online can allow more time for flexibility and is convenient. There’s no wait in waiting rooms or rush to park and pay, one less stress to add to your day. If you work difficult hours, later session times are more easily accessible and you are able to decompress and recover immediately after sessions in your comfortable environment.

Illnesses can also persuade you not to leave home, so this way, therapy can still be achieved and not missed. There’s a little more choice of therapists online also!

I mainly work online working with counselling clients but often do have a couple spaces available for in person sessions, in Stroud Glos. I work from Studio 2B, Identity Space in the town centre of Stroud. These spaces are limited.
