Creative Counselling

An open and expressive approach to talking therapy.

Creative Counselling is a dynamic approach to Talking Therapies based on Pluralism founded by Mick Cooper & John Mcleod. This collaborative and flexible approach to Counselling values the individuals needs drawing from a variety of therapeutic methods. This incorporates Person Centred, Psychodynamic and CBT therapy theory. As a Counsellor, this method of working best meets my beliefs in therapeutic fluidity and match’s my creative and open personality.

A variety of creative tools can be used at appropriate times within the work, some examples are: emotion cards, parts therapy (Russian dolls), letter writing, empty chair, metaphors, time line therapy, reframe visualisation (SBT) and mindfulness.

These tools offer opportunity for exploration further than sometimes just talking can.

My passion lies with relieving negative thoughts that have become automatic thoughts and to understand the root of where that thought started from. I want to support you in building the confidence to listen to your inner self in a new and compassionate way. To identify what you can change in your life by understanding your habits and beliefs.

Virtual Online Counselling

I mainly work online working with counselling clients but often do have a couple spaces available for in person sessions, in Stroud Glos. I work from Studio 2B, Identity Space in the town centre of Stroud. My counselling sessions are £50 per session. Sessions are held for 50 minuets.
