Therapeutic Mentoring

Mentoring is not Therapy!

I have been a mental health Mentor for over a decade! Mentoring is an opportunity for personal growth and development.

I have worked with young adults and adults with experiences such:

  • Anxiety & depression

  • Body image

  • Estranged family

  • Self harm and suicide ideation

  • Autism & ADHD

  • Religion

  • Self esteem and confidence

  • Career hopes

  • Job stresses

  • Relationship issues

  • Friendship issues and much more!

Mentoring often looks like meeting in a public place with a Professional Companion, this could be a space where you already feel comfortable in i.e. Coffee shop, park etc. The therapy room isn’t for everyone and I appreciate a different approach is sometimes needed. I have limited availability for in person but plenty online spaces.

Mentoring can include therapeutic activities like mindful colouring, exploring positive affirmation cards or playing a board game. When your doing, sometimes talking can become easier. As I get to know you I will add in activities around your personal interests.

Often a more practical approach could be beneficial working with solution focused idea’s to encourage growth and learning regarding skills and emotional development.

A client said ‘I have been with Charlotte for a couple years now and she has always made a very calming and open atmosphere even in our very first session. She makes it very easy to talk and open up to her about anything without any pressure to dive into any topics you aren’t ready for or aren’t comfortable with’
